A French Canadian by name and a proud westerner all the same
thru Italy
chasing the Hun
a signalman always on the run
radio intercept
so there would never be another Dieppe
a solid guy ...who would never say die
night and day
without sleep
till the war was over and it was won
so he could go home
with a new life begun.
in memory of Bernie Laviolette
he returned to Richmond BC to finish raising his family
members of his family married other military persons
which are still in active duty '04 with the Canadian Armed Forces
in Canada and Overseas.
